Sekaramg seluruh umat muslim dunia sedang menjalankan puasa Ramadhan, puasa ramadhan adalah serangkaian ibadah yang dimiliki umat islam, dan hukum melaksanakan puasa bagi umat islam adalah wajib, seandainya ada yang sedang berhalangan menjalankan puasa ramadhan, islam memberikan keringanan dengan mengganti di lain hari atau membayar fidyah. Islam mewajibkan puasa agar mereka yang berkecukupan bisa merasakan hari-hari saudara mereka yang kurang mampu, yang selalu merasakan kehausan dan kelaparan karena tidak mampu memnuhi semua itu sesering mereka yang mampu bisa. Bulan ramadhan di Indonesia sangatlah meriah, di bulan puasa ini banyak orang yang menjual makanan untuk berbuka puasa, beragam makanan dan minuman ditawarkan para pedagang itu untuk mereka yang berbuka puasa, bukan hanya dari segi makanan yang melambangkan kemeriahan ramadhan di Indonesia, tapi juga tradisi mudik (pulang kampung). Mendekati beberapa saat sebelum lebaran, semua jalur transportasi dipenuhi oleh orang-orang yang ingin pulang kampung, mulai dari pesawat, kapal, kereta api, bis maupun kendaraan pribadi. Intinya ramadhan dan lebaran di Indonesia sangatlah meriah.
